Outdoor Living for a Baltimore Home
Our challenge was to design and build several outdoor living areas in a very limited amount of space while accentuating the home’s architecture.
A strong emphasis on detailed craftsmanship and natural materials enhanced the Arts & Crafts-style bungalow home, making it a showcase.
A Slope Transformed
This client wanted a backyard where they could entertain family and friends.
They asked us to incorporate a pool, patio, lawn area and a fire pit all in a sloping backyard.
Rowhouse Backyard Renovation
This 140-year-old row home presented a unique opportunity to breathe new life into an under-utilized rear yard.
Our goal was to transform a long, narrow backyard – which primarily served as a pass through – into a captivating garden sensitive to the home’s history.
Historic Countryside Living
This project involved developing a landscape that would reflect the history and rural environment of the newly remodeled stone farmhouse and its accompanying outbuildings.
Large groups had to be accommodated, but more intimate spaces were also needed for friends and family.
An Infinity Edge Pool Overlooking a Pond
Inspired by the natural beauty of this property, we designed a pool with an infinity edge to visually connect it to the existing pond.
Strategically placed boulders further the effect. The result is amazing!
A Residential Renaissance
Overlooking the Catoctin Valley, this residence offered a dramatic view of Frederick’s pastoral farmlands.
We designed and built the backyard retreat to offer a formal potager garden, classic garden shed, and expansive dining area.
A Wooded Outdoor Retreat & Stream
Surrounded by woodland, the owners of this residence wanted us to create an outdoor haven where they could enjoy nature while letting their dogs run and play. Our design provided much more than that!
They now have graceful flagstone and stone steps, an enticing patio with pergola, curving stone walls and a rock garden featuring a stream!
